About Me: Hello. I’m Anne-Marie, and right now I am experiencing the growing pains associated with the blogging learning curve. I’m not a creative writer, or a writer at all, so I think that is what motivated me to give this a try. Challenge.
After a tumultuous couple of years, which forced me to morph into a grown-up faster that I expected, I am looking forward to taking a deep breath and sharing my thoughts, experiences and photos. Maybe my newfound wisdom about faith, true friendships, teenagers, hardships, the work environment and dogs can be put to good use!
About travel: I love to travel. Absolutely love it. This past year my husband and I had many opportunities to journey overseas. Each trip was a blessing. My November 2011 trip to Egypt and Israel with a group of wonderful people from my church has to be one of the most memorable journeys of my life. I am still amazed at the bonds that formed and the friendships that developed between people who really didn’t know each other before the trip. Awesome.
About photography: I enjoy photography and am anxious to share my experiences through the pictures I’ve taken along the way. I hope to bring together different facets of my life – travel, events and emotions by sharing what is captured through a lens. And heck, maybe that dormant creative writing gene will activate and who knows what may follow ….
About food: A self professed foodie. Love to cook. Love to eat. Tortilla chips are a favorite.
About random things (I will enjoy continually adding to this list):
Married for 23 years; two children who are now 20 and 18; CiCi – my son’s dog who is a temporary resident in our home.
Thankful for my family … my husband, children, two great sisters, brother, a loving Dad and for my friends.
Enjoy driving on country roads every Friday morning to get together early early early with my friends, drinking coffee and sitting by the fire wondering if we will still be able to have that fire in the summer! These women are a true blessing in my life!
Can’t get enough of Settlers of Catan. I’m not sure if it is the actual game or all the laughter and pure enjoyment of getting together with our good friends.
Looking forward to more travel this year!
